What does the Fox say? (My spirit animal)

ree

In fields where dreams and wishes play,

I find a love that fades away,

A fox so pure, with eyes that gleam,

A tender touch, a whispered dream.

Her silver fur, like moonlit snow,

Is soft as sighs I’ll never know,

And though she leans into my arms,

I feel the cold of lost alarms.

Her heart, untamed, belongs to none,

Yet in my gaze, I’ve found the one.

But here’s the jest, the joke’s on me,

For love so wild can never be.

I seek perfection, far too grand,

A touch of magic, hand in hand.

But what I chase is made of mist,

A fleeting dream, a lover’s twist.

For in this world of mortal ways,

I search for love that never stays.

Perhaps it’s I who holds too tight

To fantasies of endless light.

So here I stand, in fields of white,

With standards high, and dreams in flight.

Yet still, I know, this love I crave,

Is but a dream I’ll never save.
